I have a in dash panasonic dvd player set me back about 500$ and a 10.4 inch audiovox flip down lcd 1100$. I like it alot cause the screen isnt a small dinkie screen and the dvd player isnt under the seat or in the trunk. Not to costly and works and looks nice. I would go with a indash dvd player then get the video input for playstation that way you can play movies on back speakers and cds on front speakers. If you dont have the indash dvd player it wont let you set up movie sound in back and cd up front.

Here is what I have laying around- to be installed- in my car...

Astrovan console w/ LCD screen in the flip-down CD compartment [purchased from Alex Malero about a year ago]-- a Blaupunkt DVD-MP3 player [that I got off ebay for $179 - runs good I use it in the house right now]that can be used for home or auto-- [has both plugs]- An FM Modulator so that sound can be played through the car without hard wiring the source of the audio [has 2 RCA inputs to allow for different things to be hooked up...]

Should take a weekend when I get the time- but things keep popping up to impede my progress--

The setup that I have now costs roughly :

Console w/ LCD - 300
DVD/MP3 player - 200
FM Modulator - 30

And my sweat and tears getting it to work-- who knows...

Best of luck on your search--

if you are going to get a dvd player, get the one that has a tuner build in, that's one less thing you have to find a place for, the fm modulader, the antenna an the flip down if yu want it mountted on the roof, the tv should have extra hook ups for anything else you want, like play station or a lop tap, i have a dvd with build in tuner an 7" flip down tv with the fm moduler, an i put everything in my self, an it took me 2.1/2 hours, i can also hook up a play station or a lap top, i got everything an plus the antenna an it's all new for $650, i could gone with the 10" but it to big for my kids, an they cost $900, there is a lot of stuff out there, just have to know what you want an how much you have to spend.
