Just finished installing upper and lower rear control arms with poly bushings and the manufacturer recommended using a synthetic grease. Claimed the petroleum based greases attacked the poly and broke it down faster! I used Mobil 1 synthetic grease. I also use it for the front end suspension parts. It has a high load and pressure rating, good for bearings and ball joints!

This is total BS someone is telling you. Polyurethane is less susceptible to petroleum based products than the OEM parts were!! Call Dana (of Dana-Spicer) or Energy Suspension. They'll tell you that pet-based grease is just fine and won't hurt anything.
