Seems like its been a while since the last one.
How many are we behind? 2?

Any updates on the next issues?

Thump (and All),

Yes the SScene is behind again. We are in the process of putting together the National’s coverage which (as is currently planned) likely will cover two issues.

As you may know the SScene is put together by volunteers, who like the rest of us have a lot on their plates. All the articles, pictures, stories, members’ rides, chartered club updates, everything is supplied by volunteers. After five years our volunteers are running out of gas.

Add to this we have virtually no advertisers to help cover the cost of the SScene. As our cars get older and older more and more of us have spent our dollars on pretty much all the typical mods and business owners know this, thus they limit or eliminate their advertising budget.

So we are in the process of looking at options, one is we need new volunteers to help out. If anyone out there has talents they wish to lend we’d love to hear from you. What are the benefits, you ask. Well the pay is minimal (zero), the hours are long (in addition to all the other things you do) and you get lots of help (after the fact critics appear). :D Seriously the biggest benefit of all is you get to help produce what has been to date an outstanding magazine dedicated to our cars, featuring lots of great information and pictures.

We also need new advertisers, if you or someone you know provides parts or services or any other item of value and they wish to get the word out to our community (especially those who don’t frequent the internet or forums) then the SScene is an excellent venue – come to think of it the only venue dedicated to our cars.

You can let us know by contacting the HQ, send an email to [email protected]

Hey Rick, I tried PMing Dan Johnsen and got no response. I tried emailing the addy you listed and it bounced. I tried PMing you and got no response. What gives?

Joel,

Sorry about being out of touch. Cable companies just swapped customers in north Texas and my email address changed.

Worse than that, it turns out I've been sick since August, just didn't know how bad until this last week. In a passing moment of lucidity, I tried to respond to your PM earlier today.

Your suggestion is a good one and the Impala SScene would appreciate it! Feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you didn't get my reply to your PM.

Thanks Dan and Heather for getting back to me. My PM box was full so I didn't get the message.

I sent you an email - we can go from there.
