Just got back to Kingston from San Diego , late Wednesday night.
Waiting for me was my May issue of the Impala
SScene publication!
I open up to "The Birth of a Car Club" and who do I see, but several gentlemen from the ICSD that I had just met !
While I was in San Diego, "working", Tom Frederico arranged to meet me at the Hilton Harbor Drive Hotel.
He also arranged for some of his club members to come along !
So not only did I get to see SSmokybears sweet '96, but also Eric Maxwells amazing MySStic SS, Marty Eichelman's stock and very clean '96,
Randy Allen's hot '94 , complete with FLP headers !
After several minutes :) of discussions about the finer points of an Impala SS, we all adjourned to a location that is always conducive to further high brow thoughts, HOOTER'S !!
I would like to thank the ICSD for their friendship and great ideas that they gave to a Canadian boy far from home :)
If you lads ever get to Kingston, there will be a cool drink waiting !
Thanks again guys, Jim...

Jim,

Having purchased one of your Seat Slider kits, I wanted to meet you to say thanks.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make it, so "thanks". Hope to see you next time.

Brewdawg :Sorry I missed you while I was in San Diego Mike, but Tom,Marty,Eric & Randy let me look over their Impala SS' real close.
So it kind of helped my "Impalapalitis" that was beginning after 3 days away from my Beasst :)
They also introduced me to the fine cuisine at "Hooter's".....yes,they do serve food !
Did you actually install the seat slider kit yet ?
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns with the install....
Thanks, Jim...

Jim, glad to see a fine Impala owner tradition continues... the CT Tri-9 club meets at that fine establishment near Hartford every other month over the Winter months... when there is snow.

Cypher : Yes, I really enjoyed the Impala SS traditions in San Diego. Up here we don't have a local Hooters, so a few of us meet regularly in "Tim Horton's" coffee shops.
Not quite the same......scenery so to speak as a Hooter's !
That's a great "hibernation" photo on your web page :)
But I want to forget about those days for now and enjoy the SUNSHINE !
