There is (supposedly) a "management change" going on. I have heard various reports about a new group or groups trying to "resurrect" the "old ISSCA", or reinvent a "new ISSCA". This is NOT meant to start any "war" here, however from the few people I have spoken with, the story's never "match up".

Its a damn shame that ISSCA has fallen upon such devastating times, in my humble opinion. A national club for anything (cars, fishing, etc) is a massive undertaking. Just look at Good Guys, NSRA, etc. These clubs have full time paid staff to make things happen. That take a huge amount of cash flow to make happen. Any national club CAN NOT be run with "elected volunteers", it has to be a full time staffed business to succeed, period. That in itself is gonna take a massive amount of money, along with VERY dedicated people who can get ISSCA back up and running again, no matter how it is reorganized/reborn. Hopefully some one of the "new group" will come forward with some answers to your and others questions.

I wish whoever trys to take over and/or rebuild ISSCA all the best. But everyone is gonna have to give them some time to get the old mess straightened out first.

While it would be nice to have a FULL Time PAID Staff, to make it work in the current economic times any paid staff is just not in the budget. So, YES, the new club is here. Impala SS Clubs of America. Notice the S on Clubs. It is a different club with some new officers. New web site, http://issca.org
This club is open to all Impalas from 1958 to current. The majority of members own or have owned the 1991 to 1996 generation of B or D body GM cars.

2011 Dues are now due. $30 per year.

Past issues of the old clubs magazine are not available.

The new club has newsletters / magazines that are ON Line only and available to be downloaded to ISSCA members. The new club magazine started with the Spring 2010 issue. The new club does NOT print and mail out any magazines / newsletters. It is all done via the web site only.

The 2011 Winter issue is being put together now and will be on the ISSCA.org web site in March of 2011.

I'm sorry to those folks who were not alerted to the end of the old club. Just like GM, the old ISSCA went through a total restructuring and came out the other end a completely new company with new officers and a new web site. Two different corporations.

Any issues with the OLD ISSCA I cannot address. All I can say is sorry about the past but let's move forward with the new ISSCA and check out the new web page. http://issca.org

2011 ISSCA / MiSSL Nationals will be held during the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise outside of Detroit, Michigan in August.
Details are on the ISSCA.org web page.

ThankSS. :)

Ken, thanks for the intel on the new club(s) efforts and status. I had heard snippets of the club's rebirth from the prior regime, but your post helps with details beyond that. From my posting here for so long (10 years yesterday ;)) I know it will benefit everyone the more the word is broadcast that ISSCA is a club of inclusion now for ALL Impalas, -- W-impalas all the way back to 1958 and not for just tri-9's.

That honestly never dawned on me until now. However, I did find it interesting that a recent thread was started about some guy hunting for an '06 dd, and it was not getting the customary razzing about "POS WrongWD" that everyone is used to dishing here. Truly a new day dawning....cwm2

Just saying it'll help some old posters from getting crossways with non-tri-9 newbs the more the new vision gets out there eh.

Incidentally, - I just now ponied up the dues. Good luck there new ISSCA crew.

Submitted membership requirements (app & fee). Mailing address changed. Hoping nothing's being mailed there (forward request submitted to PO), but should probably update. Emailed a contact person listed on the site, but gotten no response. I know there's no full-time staff, but was wondering about an update.

Thanks!

I just renewed today and I noticed on my Paypal email notification of payment sent that the ISSCA account is still attached to Chino's email
([email protected]).

It was sad to hear of his loss last year, but I just want to make sure someone else is also linked to the ISSCA Paypal account to get the notifications of payment.

Thanks from member #662. :)

Hi Randy,

Thanks for renewing your membership.

Still shows that as Chino set up the account. All the emails and control of the PP account is with me.
