What is your fuel pressure?
Damn skippy.
Some cheaper easier to remove-&-replace ideas:
fuel pressure regulator?
ignition coil driver module?
Opti electrical harness?
Opti- Vent & Vacuum Harness? (far too often overlooked)

Not suggesting that you throw parts at the problem.
If you do, start with the cheapest / oldest / easiest stuff first.

READY THE PARTS CANNON!
Try troubleshooting the damn thing rather than just throwing expensive parts at it and hoping something works. SMH.
I agree here as well, but some people, for whatever reason, don't.
For those people, I recommend firing the Parts 'Derringer' before firing the Parts Cannon.

I just had the same symptoms, additionally throwing up P0171 codes. After replacing the fuel pump twice and not fixing the issue, my shop diagnosed a voltage drop to the fuel pump and cleaned all chassis grounds. That seems to have fixed the problem, the old gal hasn't run this good in years.
