I was just on Rock Auto and looking at shocks, I noticed that the Monroe Senatrac shocks actually have a coil spring on the outside of the shock, they saw even with 1,200 pounds additional weight it will still maintain ride height. On my white 94, the springs are sagging, the car is sitting to low, and the shocks are leaking oil I figured for a Couple hundred bucks it would be a good deal. Anyone?

Also, I just had 1 single Monroe Severe service shock come into from parts America, aka Advance Auto Parts. The shock looks used, it has a dent, paint scrapings, and to top it off it is 1 single shock, I thought they came in a pair was I wrong, lol. So I am going to return it.

Here is the link for Rock auto: http://info.rockauto.com/Monroe/58574.html

I had sensatracs on my silver Buick. Not THAT bad of a shock, but way to mushy. I also had them on my 89 caddy, and they were a good fit for the super soft springs in had. the Severe service also has a coil spring over the shock, avalible. and if it was dented, retun that crap!

Exactly. The Severe Services come in 3 version, 1 for the front and 2 for the backs--1 just a typical shock and 1 with a helper coil on it.

Part #'s:
1) Front: 550012

2) Rear: 550013

3) Rear w/helper spring: 550052

The Sensa-tracs are just softer, and probably too close to typical OEM for most people.

yep. thats just it. the sensatracs fit the overall feel of the Silver buick, and the 89 Fleetwood. But I don't think they are worth the money and the effort to put them on. and the rears can be a real pain! The placement on the top nuts just SUCK!! My dad made a comment when he helped me... "Wow... same Sh*tty placment as in the 70's! thank you GM... SOB's"
