I have had my Monroe SS's on for about 2 months now. I did a full suspension rebuild and I now have a few funny (funny strange not ha ha) things going on. I had a clunk from day one and I am not addressing that right now as I am pretty sure I know what that is.
What I am trying to figure out is a have a little squeak that I think may come from the front and the back, I replaced the rear shocks too but did nothing else to the rear (except air lift bags). It comes intermittantly and if I hit a really good bump that works the suspension it will go away for a while, when it comes back it will do it for every little suspension movement though. This is really starting to annoy the crap out of me. Any info would be helpful.

Sounds like it could just be bushings sweaking... did you install new ones?

I did and I sent an email to Zack last week to ask about the PST's and what makes them squeak, I may have done something stupid and greased them with Valvoline full synthetic chassis lube. I really thought that was the problem until this weekend when I think I heard it from the rear suspension too. Maybe it is the bushings but I didn't replace the rear bushings so I was leaning towards maybe the shocks when i heard a squeak back there...

I thought I had a similar issue in my 9c1 but it turns out it's coming from my seat springs in the drivers side.

Just another thought.

Wow, did it sound like it was outside the car? I will take a look for that too.

I would guess it's the bushings causing the squeak, but I would check the shock mounts for that clunk.

So what is the best way to check the shouck mounts? Are you thinking that maybe they are not on tight? The funny thing about the squeak is it is different than a distinct creak I get (although very faint and does not bother me) that I am positive is the bushings.

Yup, just make sure they are tight. Front uppers should be tightened to bulge the bushing out to the same width or slightly wider than the metal "washer" piece.

I'll give them a check, I have probably had these shocls on and off 10X since I put them on. Maybe I got careless... Thanks for the tips Wayne.
