I "THINK" I remember a few years ago, when people were doing the Floor Shifter/T-56 installs in 95 or earlier cars, someone found a Monte Carlo Column part that replaced our shifter collar.

Anyone know if this is FACT?

IF SO, is the part still available??

Yes it is FACT
NO it is not available new any more.
If you want to round it up used you are looking for an 80's RWD "G" body with floor shift auto
column

I don't know if they still actually have them, but I did successfully obtain one through NAISSO after they had been called out as discontinued by GM.

http://www.impalasuperstore.com/naisso/superstore40/shopexd.asp?id=1367 shows it as still available.

Worth a shot, perhaps.

I have one of the steering columns complete from an 87 Monte Carlo SS. However I will not be selling the shift bowl from it. However once I pull the column apart I intend to look into seeing what it would take to get it duplicated, and if it can be duplicated if it can be done at a reasonable cost. I will try to get to it over the winter so that I can complete the Bravada shifter install in my car in the spring. - Peter

Is the bowl a direct bolt in or does it need to be machined?
