I went to the big summit racing store that is near Atlanta today, and I bought a Summit racing 52mm polished throttle body with built in airfoil. I have much better throttle response now, and you can hear it sucking in all that air. When I first started the Caddy I thought my air filter was going to get sucked in! At idle all you can here is air getting sucked in through the air filter, it's pretty bad ass! Also I got my ultra flow cat back system coming this week, and maybe some other goodies, hmmmm, maybe? ;)

Is it still considered a need to get the tables tuned for that? So ya don't burn up the CPT, or is the CPT good enough to where it doesn't need it? Just wondering.

get the trans line presure tuned. For EX: With the 48mm TB, at 25% throttle, you had 100lbs torque. Now with the 52mm TB, at 25% throttle you have 125lbs torque.

Because the 52mm TB lets in more air at the same throttle position vs the 48mm(which is why it's more responcive), you might not have a high enough PSI for the trans, at the power per throttle %. I'd talk with Mr. Cobb, and Mr. Herter and se what they say.

See what I mean? Also, something I just thought about, because the TPS is seeing less throttle % for the amount of air, will the Air to Fuel Ratio be off?

That happens because IAC passages on all the aftermarket throttle bodies are not machined as nicely as the ones in a stock throttle body. Also, there is no idle bypass hole that goes straight into the intake manifold.

Urban legend that the MAF and PCM sense a different TB and merely re-program around it = thus negating the mod?? I thought I read that somewheres on here. The SSRIs on both mine sound like sucking on an empty milkshake . . . in a wind tunnel!

Hey 96Fleetwood,
I already know no way this'll register, but I'm compelled by the official old fart's creed to offer that an incredibly wiser tact would be to pick up a big honkin' zirconim- zeercury- fake rock that only you two know is bogus, and plunk the difference down on a house down payment. And then, surprise her with an incredibly high quality real one for her 25th anniv. There, I said it - ignore at will.

Congrats on the impending Engagement. ;)

Everything seems to be working and running just fine, but all of this info concerns me. What will I need to do to have the TB be compatable with my tranny? Also, should I get an F body mass air, bigger injectors, and a pcm tune? I think our factory Fleetwoods have 26lb injectors, could I upgrade to 30lb injectors with out a new pump or regulator? Any input would be great, because I don't want to cause any problems in the future, thanks alot guys!

Well, simply that with something as integral as the TB, anytime to make the change to a more bored out one...your PCM needs tuned appropriately. That it's in and working fine without is great, but it's pretty much a given that a mod like that typically requires a tuning touch up for all to be in unison, with the newly thrown off air/fuel mixtures and readings.
