I finally am starting to see the finish line in this. As of right now I don't have any pics but, Here's what I've done. My object was have something that I can listen too as well as something that could rip your head right off if you wanted it too:

The first step in my process was to gat the car as dead as possible so I got ghetto and purchased a sh*tload of Peel and Seal which is something like Dynamat Extreme, it comes in rolls of 25 sq ft. I spent about 1 moth straight in trying to deaden the ENTIRE CAR!I triple and quadrupled-layered everything!!

For my head unit I kept my Pioneer Premier P1-R I used a Toyota mounting harness to to also add a Kicker KQ5 eq. It was a huge P.I.T.A. to get in but after a couple hours I had the look that I wanted. Next, I went with a 3-way setup in the two front doors. I have all Kicker Resolution, I now have 1-6.5,1-5.25, and 1 ND25 in each door using the Infamous Steve Walker Mod to get the sound through. I also have a set of ND25 tweets in the rear door. The entire 3-way setup is powered by a Kicker ZX460 rated at 60X4 at 2ohms. In the rear deck I took out the stock 6X9's and did some cutting, so that I could add A set of 8 in Kicker Solobaric S(round) subs that I got for around 45.00 a piece brand new at the local shop. They were soo cheap I had to have them. I built a enclosure for each seperately and popped them right in. I used 2-Kicker ZR240 running the at a 2ohm load I'm getting about 260 per sub. Next, I did the amp rack. It is mounted on the trunklid, so when I get up enogh strength to lift it you look up to see 3 amps, distibution blocks, and a 15 farad Alumapro C.A.P. I'm pretty sure the decklid weighs about 150-200lbs!!!!! I've got another mod coming to assist the lift, but can't disclose the info! Let's just say hydraulics lifter and leave it at that for now! For the subs I used 3-15in Kicker Solobaric Subs I have them wired in series to give the ZR1000 a 2.66 ohm load, in which it puts out maximum power about 1400 watts, roughly 466 watts per sub. Remembering that I want LOUD, I chose to go with a ported box, instead of the coventional sealed setup because I would never need the trunk. I have a total of 9 cu ft. box and the port comes up flush with the rear deck. I upgraded my battery to a yellow top. I also got a Dominick Alternator which is rated at 225 amps at 1600 rpm. Dominik is a great guy very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. Plus his alternators are very durable, and bolt right in. Plus they are only 250 shipped!!! I don't have a dim light in the car, I'm not going to compete with it, It's just for me, So what do you guys think?

sounds like a really nice, and expensive set up. thats going to be crazy loud, and i think not too bad sq aswell. how many batteries are there in total? is there 2 or just the 1, i guess you have the cap so you wouldn't need much else. another battery might help to keep the car charged. i can't wait to see pics, sounds really nice. you guys are making me want to go out and buy mdf and start creating!

I could be wrong but if you are going to be running the amout of power that 3-L7's will take then you will need another battery just for them. I had 2-15's and have stalled the car with a Yellow top. I think that I will be going with the L7's but have not heard a set that impressed me. I know they should POUND as well as sound good. LEt us know how they sound.

You do not need extra batteries as long as the car is running, the ONLY thing that additional batteries will do is increase your "engine off" playing time, additional batteries actually put an additional load on the alternator.

If you are setting around listening to the car with the engine off then by all means you may want additional batteries but if you have the engine running you do not, you MAY need a larger alternator however to keep the battery charged.

Sniper,
Steve is right, see I don't think I'll ever have the stereo turned up that loud while its the car is not running. So far, I've had sound in the car for a couple of weeks. And have had no problems. It hasn't been tweaked at all really, I can tell you that the first time I got in to check all speaker to make sure I had all channels working. Well I unknowingly had it up a little too much and when I actually let it go WHEW!!!!! I couldn't breathe. So yes they DO POUND!!!!
