I have a 1995 chevy impala ss that has a rear end that need to be replaced. Unfortunatly I can't find one at a reasonable price due to the city I live in. (Indianapolis) If anyone has any suggestions or places that are affordable I'd appreciate it the help.

What is wrong with the axle? Why does the entire unit need to be replaced? You can rebuild them, so long as the housing is straight, and doesn't have holes in it. :D

I was told it's bent. My driver side tire is sitting more on the inside and the passenger is sitting more outward. my mechanic said bending it back would still leave my alignment possibly off. What are some other options I can do to remedy this problem?

Its most likely not the axle. your body isn't on the frame straight. There is a topic on this in the exterior section i believe. Also these cars from the factory have the rear wheel positioned forward in the wheel well and "sweep" towards center when the suspension is compressed. Get us pics so we can better guide you.
