Ah, got it. 200lbs on stock SS springs would drop 0.9" so sounds right. So the drop after 3 months was just from time, or from adding the weight?
It was more or less 3 months after the install, mostly time and one additional upgrade...

The first measurement I took was about 2 weeks after the spring installation which came out to 27.7", then about 3-4 months from there it dipped to 26.6, during that time I added a big brass Rad, I had too many issues with aluminum rads leaking so got a custom made brass rad. At the end after the rad upgrade it settled to 26.6".

It was mostly time with the addition of the rad.

Before those springs I had lowering springs which were too low "Vogtland Springs" the car was too low to the ground so I went with Stock Height Street Trends.

From what you are saying it seems like 5534 might give me around 3/4" more or less which would push the car above 27" and that would be awesome.

The added weight is about 200lb not 55lb does that explain the 1" drop ?

The springs were from Street Trends stock height probably not the same as stock rate. When I first put them on I measured about 27.7 ground to edge of fender, 3 months later I dropped to 26.6 and sat there for the last 2 years, I would like to raise it back to stock height.
Springs have a tendency to settle, but settling that much over only two months suggests they may not have been heat treated properly or had some other defect.

May want to explore some of the adjustable coil over setups. Takes all the guess work out, it'll let you dial in the height exactly where you want it and gain some other benefits too like double adjustable shocks and being able to level side to side to adjust for any corner to corner weight distribution differences.

I have almost the same setup as you, LSX 376 b15 long block with an LSA blower. I'm running Viking coil overs with Speedtech tubular A arms and couldn't be happier.

Thanks Sandman, do these install easy or does it need cutting into the car ? there was a set I looked at a while back that required cutting of some sort.

I was talking about the lower and upper control arms that you switch over to to be able to use the coilovers they sell. I mean you could do a number of different brands and stuff as they mostly all fit the same in terms of the coilover itself. But the lower and upper control arms from QA1 are a must unless you do want to cut **** up iirc

Or stick with your original plan with a set of sub-100 dollar springs if that's all you need.
Given your added weight, your springs are sitting where they should be if the springs were an exact replacement for SS springs.
It's easy for others to spend your money ;)
