Allright Everybody,

I got a new system in the SS finally. After the old one got ripped off I was bitter for a few months but jumped right back in. Here's the setup. Alpine CDA-9815 mp3 head unit. 2 sets of Infinity Perfect 6.1's which are the 6.5 inch component sets with the passive crossovers. Subs are 3 Perfect 10.1d's which are in the rear deck. The sub amp is an MTX 1501D which is a 1500 watt class d amp. I have a mtx 684 which is probable like 250 to 300 watts rms. Not the flash of the earlier system, but more trunk space now. I also have a bad ass alarm to protect it. I got the viper 790 responder with mercury switches on the hood and trunk. glass break sensors and battery back up. The thing seems to be good enough. Well enough of my ramblings guys. Gotta go to bed. Trying to stay in both classes will be hard tomorrow. lol. But I'm sure I can do it.

Good luck with that clifford remote, Just had to replace mine after it stopped working, Luckily the guy who installed it was cool and swapped it out for the newer model at no charge. Said he has gotten many of the remotes back due to faulure. Also it likes to pop the trunk while you have it in your pocket.

the new one is smaller, has a carbon fiber look and a better button layout.

that is an excellent alarm you have there. only one question. how many batteries have you gone through so far? they eat them like crazy. only reason i stuck with my old reliable matrix 3 from 2 years ago and not upgraded to the new 2.5x with the esp2 responder system. that and id have to take my whole dash apart to reinstall the new system. good luck trying to hack my alarm if you break into my car.

Hey Mike,

No sorry I do not go to SCC. I actually go to Dowling College in Oakdale. I live right by SCC Selden though. My e-mail is [email protected]. Hit me up with an e-mail. Not too many younger SS owners here on the Island.

Hey Mike,

Yeah it's me. Compusa sucked balls. Well yeah i had Circuit City do it. The manager of the roadshop actually did it. He has built some good custom vehicles. He's got a few in auto sound and security too. Right now his truck is amazing and it's going in for a shoot within the next month. The whole install i got dirt cheap. I got cheaper than retail(30% of retail) on the amps and subs by going through Infinity and MTX directly for my store. Screw soundtrax i had them do some boston components back in the day and they raped me on price. My head unit in the car is 550 there and I got it for 280 at my store(well that's at cost). Hey stop down again you know where I am working now. I'll let ya hear it. It's not bass loud really we have it tuned down. It's a SQ setup. I was tired of the nasty SPL of the 3 12's i had before. I'm out. BTW the fiberglass still stinks. Now i got all the goodies in the alarm so it will be mine forever. I love interior pain generators. Lots of them. Hidden throughout.
