Hey everyone I'm new to the forum as well as new owner of a 96. It needs a lot of work and I have little experience. Taking it slow and plan on using this as a learning curve and hope to get clean daily driver out of this project

Thanks everyone I want to rebuild everything. I've been thinking about starting with suspension and a nice brake kit. Bmr I actually was looking into control arms and sway bars from you. New to this and need advice no rush on my build giving myself at least a year

Welcome! Make sure to fill out your profile (Especially location) There are likely 1 or 2 car clubs and several forum members nearby that could help you out if you get stuck.

A good starting point for someone new to the cars is QALO's SS Handbook. (Basic mods, maintenance, etc) It will get you thinking!
PDF Download ---> http://www.grail-ss.com/GRAIL Website Files/Updated SS Handbook 8-21-13.pdf

You said your car needs a little work. New fluids and filters go a long way especially if you don't know the cars history. TheFooserGuy made this list a while back of things to tune up. http://www.grail-ss.com/GRAIL Website Files/How to Tune-Up an Impala.pdf

I recently rebuilt my front end suspension. That sage is here ---->http://www.grail-ss.com/Front End Rebuild.htm

There is ton's of information both here and on my club's tech page which is in my signature. Welcome again!
