PSA of sorts, but I also need confirmation for anyone who's used this ignition coil. My experience is that two of the holes on it remain empty after installation, and the bolts included to fill them and strap on the two grounds are too short to begin with. Ground straps are too long for the module, as well.

I looked up the compatibility, and it looks like it can also be installed on a Jeep or Isuzu with the common bolt holes intact. I followed process and cleaned all the surfaces after vacating the rivets, but the engine runs terribly after install, and I had nowhere to use the aforementioned parts.

Anyone else have these problems? I already ordered a Delco to replace, Delco doesn't seem to have the spare bolt holes. Personally thinking they just added the compatibility to the LT1 to move units.

Update: Installed the ACDelco and performance is still poor. Product number D573. Thinking either the NGK fried my new plugs/wires or the problems stem from the O2 sensors I installed right before.

Which is odd, because I did a test start after installing the O2 sensors, and nothing had changed. Given, I didn't drive the thing, but the motor is night vs. day acting up after the coil install.

Either way, car is now setting an SES light after driving awhile. Scanner's on its way. CP9110 w/ GM cartridge on reccomendation.

Ignition coil still suspect, but we'll see what happens.

Scanner led me to the O2 sensors that I had installed same day and didn't suspect before. Ordered Delcos and installed with copper antiseize instead of the nickel I used before. Worked. Starting to think that the sensors are grounded on the exhaust pipe bung hole.

The O2 sensors I ordered were NTKs. Starting to think either Japan doesn't understand how the LT1 works, or mistakes on this engine are easy to make.

Because of this, I really can't rule out the possibility that the coil was good. Egg on my face. Y'all mods can delete the thread if it doesn't have merit, that was a dumb gun jump on my part.
