1994 Caprice no start, i got spark(pulled wire off #1 stuck another plug in it and it arch when i tried to start it) and i got 40psi at the fuel rail but no start battery is draining over a few days time. i use my truck to jump it off and it will turn over but no start. Help Please. i Just swapped the motor in a few month ago for a friend and it has been sitting for a couple months waiting for him to get it. Now he wants the car and i can't get it to start.

Has it run since the motor swap? If not, I'd check to see that all connectors and grounds are secured properly. It's really easy to miss one....

anything "extra" wired into the system? alarm stereo elect water pump ect..?

The car has run since the swap. there are no aftermarket pieces wired in, the engine came out of a car with remote start but was removed before the swap. i am thinking opti or a ground but what gets me is that i have spark and getting fuel.

spark only proves the coil/opti is sending a spark to that specific plug what if u have 7 other bad connections(dought it just trying to prove the point)

does it crank hard?

check the grounds on the coil and other main grounds, if those are good swap out a working opti and see what happens.

You have spark & fuel, next would be air....is the MAF ok? is the intake track sealed good, I know when my 'plug' for homeplate popped out my car wouldn't run.

Is it a strong spark? Strong meaning visible in daylight. Check several plugs as mentioned. Did you check FI relays?

the spark was visable in daylight under the hood. i will check the FI relay this afternoon. as far as the intake the maf is good intake sealed i even unplugged the maf and tried.
