Hello everyone. I replaced my coil harness with (ac delco) 12579355. I have the d510c coils. After installing I tried to start and it popped from exhaust twice. So I checked everything and find out the wiring was backward on harness connector going to coils. I switched the wires back the way it was suppose to be and now no start. I checked all fuses and relays. Seem like I’m not getting power to coils. I have a 96 impala with a Ls 5.3 (2000) with psi harness and computer. Did I fry my pcm or is there something im not checking?

my 1996 IMPALA OEM ENGINE is the fuel pressure 45psi ... then my 2000 silverado 5.3L is gas pressure 53-57 psi ...
my coil is one of the Impala .. 2000 5.3l is 8 coils .
DID YOU POST THE ENGINE CODES ! the 5.3L engine .PCM ..

Thanks I figured it out. I brought new wiring harness for coils and it was wired wrong. Fried all coils. No cel

my coil is one of the Impala .. 2000 5.3l is 8 coils .

yes the coil harness is wrong ...the connectors are the wiring harness is the correct PCM/vehicle harness ..

the pcm is the ignition coils to ground the coils ...rotate the engine runs PCM the coils are grounded using the ground changing the coils of the ground ... the ignition coils are positive total ..PCM rotates the ground of the coils ..

I do need to upgrade that fuel pump though, it starts on second try most of the time

well the 5.3L 2000 engine is no running around 48 psi and lower
turn key on 60-62 psi .. then crank the engine around 57 psi GASOLINE ...
