I have 4 spare caprice doors that have power windows. Would i be able to take the regulators off those doors and install them onto my non power doors or should i switch the whole door out? Thanks.

It would be easier to switch the regulators. Once you move them over, you need the cross car harness to connect them. You may also need the wire to the fuse block for power. I do not know if the wiring is included in the car for the power from the fuse block at breaker #2. You will have to remove the seats, and carpet to replace the cross car harness.

Switching the whole doors is a big PITA. Plus if they aren't the same color, well you know.

Regulators are held in place with 4 rivets and 2 bolts. You can reinstall them with bolts rather than the rivets. It is a very easy job but takes a little time.

I have found it is easier to grind off the old rivets rather than drill them.

Do i need the whole scissor assembly and glass or just the motor? The doors are the same color white but i figured if i start messing with the doors then things start getting out of alignment.

You need the entire mechanism. The manual ones do not have a provision for adding a motor. The cross car harness is easier than trying to rewire. I can get you one if you are interested. PM me and we can discuss it.

Well i got the rear motor assembly out of the donor doors today, went pretty easy. Would anyone be interested in a write up about how to remove and install these before i pull the front motors out? I also found the switches are still on the harness but i think im going to use a different style switch.

If you want to sell the manual door setup along with the non-power window switch panels, LMK.

Did you ever finish th seats and what is easier to change the complete doors or pull all the mechanism because i'm planning on doing the same as you I have a wiring harness already ?

swapping the rear doors are easy but the front is a huge PITA i didn't see an easy route for the fronts besides removing the front fenders which is a task as well.

Okay so let's say I get the local body shop to hang the doors . I have a stock 94 caprice cross harness also . Is it easier to just have the harness installed because I'm going with power seat too ? Or should I just pull out all the power intenals and have everything installed ?
