tired of feeling like im in the dark. what is 9c1, lt1, lt4, and all the others?

Those are General Motors "codes" To be exact RPO codes.. Regular Production Options. Always 3 digits, for B-bodys can be found on your SPID label (Service Parts Identification) on the back side of you deck lid.

These are used to identify what has been installed on a vehicle at the factory.

There are LOTS of RPOs, but the famous ones are

LT1: 5.7l V8 350 cu.in.
LT4: 5.7l V8 350 cu.in. High Output (96 corvette, camaro)
9C1: Police option (this is a "kit". the vehicle will have other RPOs that will come with this.)


There are so many of these, do a serch here for RPO and SPID and many people have created lists for reference.
