Just replaced my OEM opti. Just because of age. The bearing is definitely worn.
But otherwise fine.
Hopefully the Cardone unit holds up.

Just curious on this, was the bearing worn enough to cause noise you could hear at idle?
Was the bearing area in distributor worn, or was it the bearing itself?

Cardone = Clock ticking... I'd consider sending the OG opti to the ebay rebuilder in Ohio for new bearing,cap/rotor,and vent harness...

Or @ minimum swap your OE optical sensor & wheel into Cardone unit.
My new aftermarket opti got returned for refund.
I rebuilt one myself instead because it was crap after a few thousand miles.
Started getting random misfires than progressively got more frequent.
