I want to swap my tape radio from my 95 RM to a original cd/radio.
Is it a easy fix?
Can I just disconnect the old tape/radio and put a used cd/radio in or need I special cables?

Thanks!
Piot

GM changed radio designs between the 1994-1995 model years. '95 and up will interchange with many GM vehicles 1995-1999. Be careful when going beyond 1999 - at least check the plug to make sure it matches your plug's style. '94 and below are similarly swappable back to at least 1991.

For your car, yes, you can use anything out of a '95-99 Century, Regal, LeSabre, or Park Avenue, just as a starting point.

Ok, thanks for all answers! :)

I ordered a 1999 Park Avenue Cd-Radio for $50.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281118081483?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

... I hope this will work.
So it´s only get rid of the front dashboard cover, screw the old Radio out, disconnect the two plugs on the back, connect it to the new one and that´s it???

That´s somehow ridiculous that the same radio on ebay is almost double priced, only because the name Roadmaster is written in the main description. :D
