I am prepping to replace the rear calipers.....are these aluminum? cost a heck of a lot more than the front ones, even the core is almost double........if they are aluminum, then paint might not be necessary.....

I don't paint for the looks, but paint calipers because hate the rust color they turn into....

Yes, they're aluminum!

Are you also replacing the caliper brackets? The brackets typically cause more problems (stuck pins and worn pad abutments) than the calipers themselves.

My only concern with a "reman" caliper & bracket is whether the bracket is NEW or a refurb'ed used part. With the known problems with these brackets, new is always the preferred, and they don't cost much.

Are you pricing complete, loaded rear calipers (ie. with pads)?

It is possible to purchase them separately and use your own "pad of choice" rather than what the supplier uses--typically they won't say what the pads are.

Pads are separate, performance friction, and as core they do not require the old brackets, so I'm assuming these brackets included are new too
