Hey,

I want to run 315/35/17s, i use to be able to find pictures of a few peoples cars with them on, but can no longer find them. Lets get a picture collection going, whatever you got.

If people could post up pics of their impalas with 315/35/17's that would be appreciated. Either on aftermarket or stock widened wheels.

If you have stock widened wheels....How much did you widen them? Do you run a spacer?, if so how thick?

Aftermarket wheels - Offset? Rim width? Spacer?

Thanks, I know people have them fit, but i would love to see some pics and detailed fitment information before i make the decision to get my stock rears widened and run 315/35's. And also get an idea of "do they fit everytime".

There is a sticky at the top of this forum that Firewood has been maintaining with exactly the info you want. I personally have 11" wheels on all 4 corners for racing and put 9.5" wheels on the front for the street. The 11" wheels will fit just fine on the rear of a round wheelwell sedan if you measure carefully...which is NOT optional :D It's not at all hard to do.

Here is my full gallery with measurements and everything:

Thanks Scott, Looks awesome appreciate the info.

I looked at the sticky you mentioned, it looked like it was for big wheels (22", 24", etc), i was more interested in wide wheels. also pics of 315's on 17 inch rims. But i guess the information on just how much room is back there is valuable. Thanks.

Also, did you have to run different size adapters on the rear because of the axle not being centered or the body not being centered?

You were probably looking at the wrong sticky ;) They are all good, but this one is the one you will probably be most interested in:

Yes, I do run different size adapters on the rear because my axle is way off center. It's an old cop car with evidence in the floorpan of having been hit. I am putting Currie adjustable arms on it now and will be centering/squaring the axle up in the car, which will require a new pair of adapters in the rear. Still going with the same total adapter thickness: 2x2.375 instead of 2.000+2.750.

I opted for just a little bit more clearance since I use my car VERY hard with the slicks. If you are not going to be cornering really hard with the car, you can tighten that up a little, maybe 1/4" per side, to make it look better.

Scott covered the fitment and measuring, so I'll just post a couple of pics. These are 17"X10.5" wheels up front and 17"X11" wheels in the rear.
