Hello. I'm re installing my audio. I'm concerned about my Speaker Wire and RcA Cables possibly getting pinched between the back seat and the floor pan. Showing pictures, am I in the safe zone for routing my speaker wire over the tyranny hump and the rear seat area. Note: I'm planning to install my Passenger side RcA a half inch or so along side my speaker wire to keep it off my power cable which is ran inside the passenger side factory harness rail clip (what ever its called).

So pretty much do RCA and Power wire have a clear path under the rear seat and tranny hump where my pictures are marked?

Most people run their wires under the door sill trim pieces on each side of the car.

I wouldn't run the RCA's along the tranny hump. You want them as far away as possible from the power wire. Run them along the driver's side.

If you are concerned about the wires getting scraped or something, I would say just protect them in some way. You could use flexible wire conduit, or you could wrap the wires in thick fabric wiring harness tape.

I probably wouldn't even bother running the power wire through that little bracket. Just scoot it off to the side and run it under the plastic trim as mentioned.

EDIT: I just noticed the wires that run along the tranny hump turn and head towards the passenger side where the power wire is. That's not good.

My speaker wire runs from the front passenger door speaker across to the tranny bell tunnel by the heater duct and all the way back along the tranny/drive shaft tunnel. It's 2 feet away. I don't see what your saying. If you are talking about where the red power wire runs through the clip with that black harness. That's not speaker wire. That's part of the cars harness. I don't want to run cable along the doors. It causes humps in the carpet. Someone already did an bunch of work like I'm doing it (duct tape marks on many places within the non footing areas of the pan). This is why I'm doing it this way. I don't want any interference and bulk along the door trim. My power wire is nowhere near my speaker wire. The speaker wire only intersects the power wire at 90 degrees up in the passenger kick panel. Here is a better photo. I've read on the forum people running rca and what not down the center of the car. Why would this be wrong when it's the cleanest way as far as interference and not having it on my power wire? Anyone else want to give some feedback too. Much appreciated. Thanks

Nowhere near, but intersects at a 90 degree angle.

How is running the speaker and RCA wires down the trans tunnel and across the power cable better than running them along the driver's side of the vehicle? Do you just not want to do it over?

If you're so sure that what you're doing is correct, then why did you make this thread?

My "opinion" is that you're doing it wrong, and I have a feeling others will tell you the same.

I put my back seat in without the carpet. It seems to have plenty of space under the seat there. Also of importance, there is no metal rods on that area of the seat. It's all cusion. I think I'm good. I will put a piece of plastic over the wires for extra protection.

Intersects, meaning the speaker wire only crosses it and never runs along side of it. I'm just concerned with pinching points from the center console on that hump and under the back seat. No offense, I'm all for running speaker wire under along the door trim. Just not in my setup. My opinion is it's too much cable and guage.

The idea more clearly. Rca top speaker below. I would have brought the door speaker wire over from the door up-in-there more but my 17 foot speaker wire is not that long. Anyway, It shouldn't matter as I put the wire against that dark insulation material because its much thicker than the wire making for passengers feet to miss the wire.
