Is the pump the same on the 94-96 no matter the size motor?? Same for the lines and all the conenctions?

Yes. The difference is the fitting on the high side of the pump but it is changeable.. Such as, A roadmaster or a fleetwood with variable assist will have a whole manifold screwed to the power steering pump. A Caprice- Impala will have a standard reducer nut. That part will have to be changed depending on what vehicle it is off it.

but if my car is a 1996 Impala, will a PS pump from a 95 Caprice work? Not messing with fittings, a direct connect?

Your Impala is a Caprice with an option package.

Well upon a closer look at the pump the front shaft seal had to be good, it was dry up there and on the inside of the pulley.
So I put on a new pressure hose, o-rings, and the feed hose from fluid tank to PS unit. All its well, not more leaks.
The o-ring at the pump looked bad and the feed hose conenction at the pump was cracked and dry rotted thus I changed that one out.
