Anybody have pics of their car lowered on PPM autoX springs? I am curious to see how they sit. Also, anyone have any problems with them sagging now that they have been out for a while?

I have them in my 96, but I can't see the stance yet as the car still has no motor/front end on it. I did notice when I removed the rear springs that one spring was distorted and didn't stand straight up when sat on end,. I wasn't happy about that considering the car hasn't even driven yet, but the rear still sits level so I am hoping it won't be a problem. The quality of a rear springs just didn't seem to great, which is why I am curious to see how they held up for guys using them over time.

Hoping that I didn't make the wrong decision in going with them as I had Hotchkis on my previous B bodies and loved the stance. I just wanted something slightly stiffer with a linear rate.

Here are my pics with Moog equivalents to PPM Auto X spring

Hey SSandman my current spring setup is as follows:

Moog #5664 springs @ 707 LBS(linear rate) for the fronts & Moog #5399 @ 166 LBS(linear rate) for the rear with about a 1.25" drop in ride height from stock Impala SS.

As you know I had the PPM Auto-X springs before I had the Vogtlands. When I wanted to put them back on because the Vogtlands were bottoming out too much, PPM or I should say Zack Kanter's new company Proforged did not sell them anymore. So Zack gave me the Moog part number equivalents.

Thanks B'klyn9c1! That stance looks great, I would be very happy with that. I can't recall the exact spring rates of the PPM, but from memory that seems like the same rate. So the PPM springs were all along just those Moog ones resold by PPM under their name?

What size tires/wheels you got there? Look like 18 or 19"

I got 275/40-18's mounted on 18" x 9.5" C5 Corvette rear wheels. This size and wheels are mount all around.

Beware the ride is harsh! But the ride height is bitchin! No doubt! It makes the car look and feel like a lowered 2nd Gen F-Body from which it is decended from. I have the Sport Bilsteins and the ride is quite harsh on these bad New York City streets and roads. I am sure the lack of sidewall of low profile 275/40's that I'm running has a lot to do with it.

I had a conversation with Mark Savitske, the owner of SC&C and the author of How to Make Your Muscle Car Handle. He said those Bilsteins 1104s were designed to go with the stock 440 LBS rate front springs and they have a hard time with the 700+ LBS. One of the recommendations he made to me was to go with the Eibach PRO-KIT setup for the Impala SS. I seen that they have a 588 LBS linear rate for the front. That is what I am going to go with very soon.

Yeah, I found the 1104's too stiff on compression for our streets with the stock springs.

The current koni's seem like they could be a little stiffer on compression and are good with the adjustable rebound. Being softer on compression, bet they'd be good with the 707lbs springs. The crown vic bilsteins rode nice too, till one froze up, hence the konis.
