Hmm, if it's the ACME SB-5000 button with the Clarke Gold tipped fetzer Relay with flux capacitor core, then you hook the red wire to pin #3.

However, I could be wrong. Could you be more specific about what you got and what you're doing?

Alright, sorry about that. I did not buy the s2k button. I purchased another lit button that does not come with a relay. Its actually a imported pushbutton for imports made by pivot. I bought a bosch 30 amp relay but i do not know how to wire it up according to the pushbutton, keyswitch and starter. I got the illumination partdown, its what color is the starter wire I need to splice and how to wire it all together

Ok, although I still don't know exactly what you want to do. But if you're asking how to wire up a relay, which is very easy once you know how, then you should probably spend some time learning what they are and how they work.

I havent installed a push button start but in the ignition harness(the cars wires not your button wiring) the RED,YELLOW AND PINK WIRE are below. These wires are real stiff and bigger than the others and very hard to work with. When you think that you have found the wires test them with a volt-meter.

RED- in the ignition harness, this wire has a constant 12 volts (hot all the time)

YELLOW- in the ignition harness, this is the starter wire, this wire shows 12v only when the starter is cranking.

PINK- inthe ignition harness, this wire shows 12v when your ingition is turned on just to the front click.

There is NO real color code with a relay, assuming you got a pre-wired relay harness. The key for wiring a relay is how you wire 85 and 86(the coil wires) and 87 and 87a(the switch wires). You'll want to hook your starter button to either 85 or 86, with the left over going to power or ground, according to your plan. Then, when you press the button it trips the switch to connect the two 87's or 87 and 87a, whichever you chose or however you've planned. Also, make sure your relay is big enough. Don't put in a 30 amp where a 40 amp is needed and with that much power it might be a good idea to use a diode.
