Ok, I've been to the ISSCA website, searched through all of this, but have as of yet been unable to come up with the benifits of becoming a member.

So can someone give me a SIMPLE list of the upside to this? Also, whats the upside of becoming a charter club?

I ask this due to the fact that I'm seriously thinking about it, but I don't want to just be throwing away money assuming I can't make it to any events.

the number 1 benefit is that you get to be in a car club with me...

if that's not good enough for you - you get the ImpalaSScene magazine which is worth the price of admission all by itself.

It allows the club to put on major events which may or may not be of interest to you.

(just so you know, if the national event ever comes to Florida or lower Georgia - I might go - but otherwise, I will just read about it in the mag.)

ISSCA is able to provide ONE place for vendors to contact to see about interest in product for a low quantity 10 year old - out of production vehicles... hence you have opportunities for Impala stuff..

Lastly - $40 is chicken feed (I believe the membership fee should be higher) - you pay more for your annual fee on your credit card - paypal yada yada...

as GW says - join up - you're either with us - or agin us...

and why not - be part of something for a change.

I am not affiliated ISSCA in any way except as a fellow member...

oh yeah, ISSCA provides my local chartered club GofaSSt for funding for the Daytona Spring Fling in March - out of the pittance we send in dues..

so ISSCA gives back almost all they take in - I believe its set up as a non-profit (someone correct me if I'm wrong here)

and since you are using this forum as a means of communication and technical help - I certainly hope you donate to Hack for him to be able to keep it running...

you can do that here:

http://impalassforum.com/donations.html

other than that - I don't think we OWE you anything - other than our friendship and help where we see fit..

does that answer your questions?
