Figured I may as well pay the extra for the compressor that’s not prone to leaking. New manifold gages, can tap, oil, r-12

Can’t find one of the hoses from evaporator to accumulator….hopefully someone locally can make one-I would hat to buy a hose kit for just one hose. Not even sure if the hose needs replaced.

I didn't know about the Sanden conversion and the bracket kit, and will be very interested to learn how it goes.

Interesting. Cool. Did you consider going 134? I switched the 91 to it and works great. Just need a compatible oil with original oil and 134. Watch what if any oil comes in the compressor. If all is empty and new accumulator, probably can just the normal PAG oil.
And what I learned from the vintageair conversion for the mustang, you just tweek the set screw in the cycling switch a touch.

The system has been discharged for a while. When I bought a few years ago I could tell it leaked from compressor shaft seal. I thought about going 134 but price of r12 had been going down so I snagged some up. I may grab a couple more cans r12 and a small cylinder of 134 later down the road

In my other 93 the r-12 was hands down way better- idle, traffic, or highway. I converted it to r134 which still kept me cool but was noticeable less effective at idle and traffic-and compressor was louder. Knowing now I could have done better on the retrofit but I doubt I could have gotten close to the original
