Have you considered any of the R12 alternatives? The 4th gen RX7 community uses this stuff a lot. My buddy is super happy with it.

Fuel line was close. Need to bend them some more

Vacuumed it down for over an hour and let it sit closed for 1:45. No leaks. Had the hardest time finding 1 o-ring and. Dealer showed a list of bunch of different sizes for hose from evaporator to accumulator that were less than thousandths different.

3.12lb comes out to ~50oz. FSM called for 6oz mineral oil. Gave it a little dye. All of it can go in compressor crankcase

Belt is too short. Bought another but I could have went a size down on the one I got- keep in mind my belt length is based on this Sanden mod AND an AD244 HO Alt mod with no AIR pump

Snipped old clutch connector. Added insulated bullet female to green wire(+) in order to connect to red wire. Covered with wire loom.

used paper clip as jumper for old high cut off connector.

First 2 cans took forever. Tried what FSM said put the R-12 cans in boiling water. Last 3 cans went fast. That extra valve I put between hose and can tap kept air out between cans

After I added the refrigerant and let it run for 30 mins I had the silly wet spot. Pulled cover off under dash after I pulled passenger seat-I’m 6’2”. Someone put RTV to seal . I needed something quick and used this after bad attempt trying roof tar.
Rope caulk work fine. Foam at firewall was still good for drain. Gotta come up with something for heater hose foam another day.

Added the electric fans last weekend and temps lowered to 34* the other day at idle on MAX-AC. Used two fan relays for 3rd gen TPI and a relay delay module from Casper’s Electronics to delay the signal on coil side of one relay on one fan for ~5 seconds.

Mimicked Starship’s and ProTools4 radiator bracket ideas to get that 4row mounted better than I had with the clutch fan. Used 5/16 lock washers and the factory nuts for water pump pulley. Have some stainless cap screws I may put on
