:( for them! haha! had you going! Smoked them both!

Ok, my buddy has an S10 Xtreme extended cab, 3.73 Eaton posi, flow master muffler, air intake, and a PCM program, he was talking smack about my car wanting to race, saying he could beat me. It may be a 98 I dont know, it has DRL's.

Me, 95 Fleetwood, Tranny build/2.5 exhaust with flowermasters 2.93s stock!

Well, we both go from a roll about 10-15 I got the tree in 1st ready to roll, *Honk honk honk* GO! We take off were both pulling hard its a tie, then as a build speed I start pulling like a mother ****er! Right past him! After I passed him I wound it down! It was fun! BEST PART, I got it all on VIDEO! ****THE FOLLOWING VIDEO IS COMPUTER GENERATED AS GOES THIS STORY****

http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a69/dbodyfreak/95%20Fleet/?action=view&current=Video-0023.flv

Then, on my way home from work im getting on the on ramp, its a red light. Some new Jeep Cherokee V6 is in the left lane, im in the right both first in line at the red light! Light turns green, he is taking that corner way infront of me, Im giving as much gas I can, which really isnt that much because I lose traction easy! As soon as I round that corner and straighten out I nail it and slam up the ramp! Merge lane is running out, he is still flooring it and I walk right past him, Im sorta over the white line on the side of the road at which point he honks as me as I rip by, mean while he is still full throttle, of cousre im full throttle. Yeh maybe I was an ass, I didnt run him off the road we both had plenty of room, he was just pissed I my car had the balls to pass him, and that he wasnt first up the ramp.

2.93's are good with the stall, you can really feel the pull in first, its a Corvette 2,200 stall I believe, perfect like the tranny builder said. He said if you dont have a lot of power, like my car(stockish) then a lower stall works better, if you have ALOT of power then a higher stall works better.

I have a 2.93 rear axle ratio, I have bought a 3.73 Motive gears and im looking for an eaton posi, im just curious to see what I get on the highway once I get my CAI.

That Jeep beat me badly around the corner, I dont know if he had AWD or what, but I went as fast as I could with out losing traction the rear wheels and he was moving around that corner like he was on rails, after I straigtened out I put the hammer down hard and started pulling real good infront of him, all while he was flooring it. Straight 6, v6 it wasnt that peppy.

New mods to come, cold air intake, LT4 knock module, as soon as I get those gears in im going to have to get the PCM flashed, I was thinking about getting FBODY EGR, roller rockers and springs too, so many choices...

Im so glad the exhaust and tranny are done, total was around $1,600.00 for the both. With this tranny I can really lay on it good, Raybestos Clutches/Kevlar band/Beast Sunshell/.500 boost valve/sleeve, Shift kit, Corvette Servo, Corvette stall, all the shifts are very firm, I dont worry at all about damaging it with some occasional play.

Mixed city/highway, 28 miles each way im getting around 15 mpg, I just aired my tires up they were all 7 pounds low, so that should help a little, if I could lay off the gas, and not have the torque connverted unlock every 15 seconds it would be even better, lol.

Thanks guys it was alot of fun. Definately want to get more mods now.

My vinyl top is coming off, I was going a little to fast on the interstate, so the whole front end is blown about 5 inches back, it looks like its gonna have to come off.

</font>[/QUOTE]he was asking how the convertor was with it.

But I do not agree with the Lower power likes a lower stall. Your cars 1/4 mile times, and 0-60MPH will drop even further on a totally stock car, with a 3000ish edge, Yank, ETC. Now, if you mean where the Power band is, then yes. once you start pushing the power band up, you almost need a higher stall.

If it was a Cherokee, not a grand, then it was an L6. I know they dropped the AMC based L6 a few years back, and went V6 for the Update. If it was a New Grand, than it very well could be the V6... some lame ass 3.5 i think. Even the 4.7L 's V8's are disapointing.

We have a 98 Grand Cherokee with the straight 6. I can easily say the Jeep handles better than the RM and Fleetwood, and provides better feel as well. Obviously it's not built to handle, but it IS more confident around the turns than the giants. No axle hop, no skip, no nervous twitching...the tires simply stay planted until they start to come off the ground.
