Hello B Body friends,
Im having a issue with rain water leaking on the floor on the drivers side. It only does it when it rains so Im sure its not the heater core. It leaves a puddle under my floor mats. The car is a 1994 Caprice 9C1... I thought it was the hole in the spotlight but i installed on yesterday and we got alot of rain last night. So there goes the water... nothing else is getting wet and I can see that the water is leaking from the front left corner of the floor. Any Ideas on where this is coming from????

I had a similar problem on my 95 RMW on the passenger side also. I ruled out the heater core, which had been replaced, and the drain elbow.

I took a hose and ran it on the cowl area. Water poured in! I then pulled the cowl grill off and with a tube of silicon sealer caulked any place that looked like it might be a problem. Stuck the hose in again and no water came in.

I let mine go to long and I also had to do a floor repair, but now it is dry.

Mines is doing the same thing.I have a 94 caprice too, I think it's coming from under the dash somewhere, my amp wire is running through the hood latch cable so the little rubber gorment is push back through the firewall. I think thats my problem...

I'd try this out.My caprice has a minor floor issue also and when I got it I was cleaning the engine bay and noticed water on the floor.

Grove when I get a chance to fix mines I'm going to put some silicone around that spot, it's raining like everyday.
