Hey Impala buddies,

Since the forums been down and all past threads are null,
I just wanted to remind everyone of this event.
Gates open at 12pm I believe.

When: Saturday Aug 8th 12pm
Where: NYIRP Leicester, ny
Web: www.nyirp.com

See ya'lls there and prepared to get your doors blown
off by three 10 second cars that look like Impalas.

Saturday good!!

Local weather man here (the most nerdy and accurate one) says we'll be good - with nothing till 11 - 12 at NIGHT on Saturday - Sunday will be wet. Saturday we'll be racing!!

Anyone coming if ya have a spare set of slicks I could use for the day please bring 'em - else my 13.99 imp will be running 14.6 all day long - which ain't bad either .. :) - Dave

Don't know! Chris is sooo upset about it since he just did all that work getting it back together. He even said he should just park it in the yard for a year or two. I know he was just mad when he said it, but he hasn't looked at it since we have been home. In fact, he started working on the GTO super charger!

BTW, yesterday we bought our daughter Monica a '93 Buick Roadmaster that she (or Chris) can race in the series. LOL!

Michelle - unfortunately they got rained out as per Roz. :(

Made a couple practice runs and then it was cancelled.

Rumors about a double header at Island on Sat, Aug 22nd!

Fortunately I listened to Al Roker :) Not really. My daughter is having the baby any moment. The boys, Nathan and Mason, as well as Ed and myself all wanted to be there as it's a very special place and race, but the pregnent woman became "evil" and we could not defeat her :D

The Real Racing happened at the Country Inn on Rt 36

We partied from 5pm to 10pm.
It was really fun.
Keith did a Trailer Burnout
Stumpy was blasting his BBChevy several times.
Showing it off to DW
NAB pathetic 10.40 SBC made some noise too.

JoAnn will never let Rob get another Tie for a Present.
What funny and warm exchange...alll night long..
I know lets buy JoAne a TIE!!!:D

The frenzied stories and razzing was truely an ECIRS event.
There was so much Bench Racing it was enough for the COPs to give us all a ticket.

For the life of me with all the racket we made we did not get visit even from the Management.

FWIW the SSuperwagon got 23.3mpg on the way back home.

Looking forward to Island..

The best ECIRS NON-RACING event ever!!

Aight, who's the A-HOLE that washed their car before the race yesterday?
Wasn't me!!

I cannot tell you what a great time we had yesterday even though it got "we are going to get hammered, rained out"!! NOT!!!!

Great time, unbelieveable food and all the party animals!! We really had more fun at this event than any others that we have been to.

The hotel discussions went on and on and the TIE discussion never went away, kept rearing its ugly head.

What a blast though!! Best time ever!!

Thanks to all of you that helped make this a great -NON-Racing_ event!! Paul Roswell, Mike Kender, -dW and Patty, Jonathan Hunt, Alan Maine, Jeremaih Langen and of course Dave and Nick Servati. AND we can't forget Joanne and Robbie for their continued support to make this a great event.

PS. I got a call from someone that worked at the County saying that there were two Impala's off the road on 390 headed towards Pennsylvania on Sunday. Said it looked like the one on the trailer had come off the trailer and was up on the side of the hill.

Did any of us have problems on the way home?? Did not here of any trouble?? Stumpy, this wasn't you was it? Hope whoever it was is OK!

I had a great time as usual . Yes there is a possibility of a double at island i sent tony a email explaining our situation and asked him if #1 we could do a double sat the 22nd. i suggested we would need 2 qualifying runs for the first race run it and right after the completion get 1 qualifying run for race 2 to speed things up. possibility #2 would be to have the second race the following day sunday lets hope tony comes thru. who did the burger trailout? lol
