I sure would like to see some more sent in.
All I need is a high res digital pic (300 dpi) and a paragraph about you and your car.

Drop me a line if you have an questions.

To reiterate what Chris is saying here, this is as easy as falling down. Take a pic of your ride, (300 dpi) and write a blurb about it! Heck must of us have a paragraph-long signature on here! Also, it turns that issue of the magazine into a really cool keepsake for you! Check out how Chris did the reader's ride in the Sep-Oct '04 issue.

Hey Crackhead! :D

Jimmy,
its dots per inch. Your camera was 4.0+ megapixels right? Any picture you take from it should be fine. Just dont alter/resize it with villagephotos.

If you don't know or have trouble you can just have prints made and mail them to me. I have a High Res scanner.... so I can scan them in.

If your camera has more than one setting..... set it on the largest and don't shrink it before you send it.

Something like this Chris?

We went ridin down I-75 one morning. We pulled into a roadside dive and met three Tift County Deputies (imagine that!) that liked our rides. They pulled back out behind us and LITERALLY ran people off the road to prevent them from messing up this pic op.
Thanks Big Tony and F-F-F-Floyd, you big, bad ass county mounties.

Thanks, Dan. We did this for the SoFASST guys when they came up for SSHS4, too. But this pic of the guys coming down from ATL was really exciting to get (I'm getting better at this with each opportunity). Tony and Floyd are Impala owners and ISSCA members. They are in the pic. The three county mounties in the back were friends of theirs.

I would like to get in the back of a pickup and take one, too.

I promised (traded) someone a CD of ALL the pics I've collected off the net and ALL the pics I took this past year at every event I attended. Went to make it the other night and couldn't copy to a single CD cause I had flagged 3.6 gigs of files!!!! Had to go buy some more blanks.

Gene, just burn pic or vids, car or B-body, to blank dvds like I do, they usually only cost 10 cents more'n a cd, yet have sooo much more space.

Sorry, ain't got no dad burned dvd maken whatchamacallit thingy, Neo. Too busy spending money on the car. ;)

Yep. I'm the caravan arrangin, keep'n em together coordinatin, gettin the cops involved, picture takin fool. :D Seriously, though, it was a complete team effort from all that were involved and they should get the recognition.

If you REALLY need a B-Body pic fix visit my image station portfolio. Just about everything that happened last year, I was there. Sure wish I knew about the "Best of the Best" ISSCA rules. I woulda taken it hands down!

Gene : you have a desktop or laptop? Guessing a laptop knowing your travel habits ;) , but.....

DVD burners for desktops dropped a LOT in price over the last 6 months. I ordered one yesterday that a friend recommended :

BenQ DW1620 : Dual Layer, 16X, burns on ANY DVD media. Despite the lack of name brand, this is actually one of the best burners out right now.

Cost : all of $54 from Newegg.com  . Their shipping is quite reasonable as well.

Unfortunately, the resolutions are pretty low with the cropping and editing I had to do. (I took those picks with a $99 digital camera from Walmart!) No telling what I could do with a really good camera.

Just wait until I get ahold of the caravan headed North to the Poconos! :D If that don't work out I think a great "special activity" for Mountain MadneSS may be a mountain cruise with a pic of a looooong line of B-Bodies wrapped around the side of some mountain.
Mmmmmmmm...
Guess I better go ahead and get up there on my next business trip and scope out potential sites.
