Hey gang, I need some advice on how to get the dust boot on a rear caliper piston to seat correctly. I bought some rebuild kits for the rear brake calipers for my 9c1 rear end I’m using. I’ve tried using a small screwdriver to press it in once the piston is about a 1/2” out out pocket but can’t get the ring seated fully by the top side seen through inspection hole of caliper.
I’ve looked up old post about it but the links in all the posts I’ve been searching through are all dead. I also found that there is a Kent Moore tool for the job but figured I’d ask here first how anyone else has done them or if some one knows the correct size tool needed to do this thanks!
