Anyone care to explain how to remove the rear deck on my 95 RM so I can access the speakers. I have a new set coming and I need to know how to get the old ones out seeing how they are bolted in from the top. Thanks

You need to start by removing the third brake light cover and the pulling the rear pillar panels out, mine were just held in place by heavy duty velcro. Then you need to remove the lower seseat cushion by pushing the lowest part of the seat frame back toward the rear of the car. You need to do this on both sides fo the seat pressing about halfway between the door and the transmission tunnel. The you can unbolt the upper portion of the rear seat and remove it. Now there will be two plastic push clips in the corners of the rear shelf behind the upper seat cushion remove these and you you should be able to slide that panel out of the way so you ca get to the speakers. This is just from memory, I put my stereo in over two years ago. Hopefully someone will chime in if I missed anything.

What would be the point of removing the lower seat cushion? Does it stop the upper from coming out??

geez it sounds like something I might now want to get into. hmm.. Would it take less time to cut off the 4 screws holding each speaker in and then tapping out the holes and installing screws/bolts to where I easily remove speakers or just removing the seat and what not??

No, don't cut...Doing what he said about removing the lower and upper, may sound difficult but it's not...trust me.

My keys got locked in the trunk awhile back.

My trunk pulldown and release had quit working and I was working on it.. I had to pull the back seat out and go through..Not that big a deal..

Okay I will do it the right way. Ill just have to be careful. So the bottom portion just kinda pops out when you push it back? Is it hard to reinstall? I just dont want to break anything

Matt,
You really don't have to worry about breaking anything removing the lower seat. There is a "C" shaped bracket that is welded to the floor with the open end pointing up. Part of the round tubular seat frame fits into that opening. Just push the seat bottom back and pull up slightly. Should come right out.

Well I almost broke something. j/k just got a little over confident with one of those torx bolts that holds the back of the rear seat on. No problem once I put the right bit on my socket. So 2 hrs with frequent stops, complaining, and talking to the gf the new speakers are in. They sound good. I'm very pleased. Thanks for the instructions guys.
