Hey guys, I've been having this problem for some time now. When I turn on the heat, and push the button for the rear defogger. The light comes on, but the fog never goes away. I've used a test light to see if there is power to the back connecters. And it is, on both sides. I put the test light on the metal strip on the rear window and it has power. But it's still not working. I don't know what else to do. Any help would gladly be appreciated.

unplug on both end at rear window and get resistance.if open the start one line at the time ,and you may find internal breakage,if there is

use voltmeter ,if you have high resistance you will have big voltage drop, which wouldn't allow it to work properly

Can you check the grid for a complete circuit, with a multimeter?
