I need a set of rear springs that have a smaller outside diameter than our stock Impala’s. Stock measure about 6 ¾” diameter. I need a set that measure around 4 ¾” in diameter. Same spring rate, whatever that is. If the new spring doesn’t have the eyes, I can have a bushing made to compensate. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

This might be a tough one.....

Best bet is gonna probably be custom here. Every "replacement" spring I know of that is sold for the SS is either stock diameter or even a little BIGGER.

FWIW, stock SS rear springs are 160 lb/in rate, and are linear. They may or may not be what'd be desirable with your car (assume this is for the DOHC car?) given that it likely has some "non-stock" suspension already and it is a bit outside of the regular GM design parameters anyways
