Does anyone have knowledge/experience with the drop spindles that are available for the B-body? They seem to slam the front of the car pretty low while keeping the factory ride quality in front. So what do you do out back to match the ride height up front, but still keep factory-esque ride quality? It would be easy to lower the back with springs, but the ride would be super-stiff out back but soft in the front, and it seems to me that it would cause problems. Any suspension experts out there?

ST rear springs would match it fairly well height-wise, and (more importantly) you can buy ST springs by the axle (instead of only as a set of 4) from JC whitney. Should cost less than $100 for the rear pair.

That said : be sure you want the spindles first. IMHO, you'll end up low enough that the ride would be degraded anyways (because you'll be hitting bumpstops OR the ground) with the relatively soft stock front springs.

I agree with Ed about the spindles. Except you won't be hitting the bumpstops or the ground with them on, you'll probably be hitting the top of the tires. With spindles you will have a smaller turning radius and a bit of tire scrape with stock springs, other than that the ride is close to stock feel. The ST springs on the back should bring you pretty level. Or you could cut the stock rear springs. HTH

Actually, no you can't. The rear springs are pigtailed on both ends. Cut them, and good luck on getting them to stay positively located (i.e. NOT move around) if you push the car suspension-wise at all.

It sounds like I would encounter more trouble with the spindles than it is worth, especialy with clearance issues since I have 20's

Hey,

Right now I have the setup that your looking into and if you don't wanna scrape your frame going over speed bumps or on driveways the don't do it. Don't get me wrong I like how low it is but it does cause driveability problems for a daily driver (like mine is). I've got the Global west springs with ebach's in the rear and have a rake. I'm going to put the ST springs to match the height up and hopefully not scrape everything too bad.
