What do you folks recommend to reattach this SOB to my glass? I have seen multiple products, but unsure what is best. Cost is not really an option...but not interested in fresh windshield.
If you do it yourself, put a mark the the outside of the windshield where you want the mirror to attach on the inside. It is a lot easier to center the mirror, and make sure you get it high enough.
I used the "Loctite 37438 Rearview Mirror Adhesive Kit" with no issues. Before scraping the old glue off I used it as a guide when I marked the outside with a sharpie.
I just did this with the kit from advance auto parts. Clean area 3-4 times and wipe with 70-90% alcohol. Make sure to use a piece of painters tape to hold in place. Let it sit over night. I used time frame on packaging and it fell off after an hour. Tried again and let sit for 4-5 hrs and been cool for months now
