Aloha All,

I'm finally fixing the "browned-out" rearview mirror in the Impala, that looks like it has fluid leaking out of it, and hasn't worked since I bought it in Guam in 2007. I bought the stock mirror from PartsGeek. Do I need to find the 7 pin harness called-out on Parts Geek and Rock Auto (GM part number 88892596) or am I simply splicing wiring like the last guy did? Please advise. Thanks, and best regards, Rob

I just received the replacement mirror and installed it. No need for a different connector or harness. The lights work just fine in the mirror. However, the new mirror doesn't have auto-dim, just a manual lever to change between day and night. All the better though - I could never see through the dark Guam rear window tinting anyway if the mirror were to autodim... Thanks, Rob
