Not to be the voice of doom and gloom, but I hope you got the rubber hose on the fuel pump rated for gasoline. There were a few posts over the months that the hose supplied with some aftermarket pumps were not rated for gas, and disintegrated fairly quickly. Other than that It's looking good.
No gloom taken, I appreciate any comments.
I bought my own PTFE hose for the fuel pump connection, and I made (my part) of the fuel pump bracket with FEP plastic.
The intention was to be gasoline and E85 safe through the entire system.

Going to mechanic/tuner today.
The nuts and bolts were fairly easy, but I got lost on the final wiring and vacuum lines.
I couldn't finish the exhaust and left some Torqhead stuff undone (for access to vacuum lines).

Soon, after many weeks and many thousands of dollars; I hope my next update is of a running car.
I would love to make the ISSCA Nationals this year. That is the goal.

Mechanic is adding all fluids. So far the ABS module is frozen and won’t bleed the front brakes. I ordered a replacement rather than abandoning the ABS. The bottom of the car needs some real attention, but not too bad for a 50,000 mile car.

So 2-1/2” exhaust is on, and driveshaft has been made. New Jersey no longer requires (cars this old) to emissions test, so the mechanic recommended we don’t install the new CIA cats I had.
You can see I slid the rebuilt transmission around my garage floor for years. So nice to see that big blue trans in a car, instead of tripping over it and sweeping around it for so long.

Can you post some more pics of how you supported the exhaust at the rear of the transmission? I'm about to put those same headers on my wagon and I am not comfortable with leaving them unsupported all the way back to the mufflers. Also, check your inbox.

Hi Sherlock,
My pics are limited, as the mechanic did the exhaust install.
I bought these generic exhaust hangers from Summit Stainless Works UH2.5W Stainless Works Universal Exhaust Hangers | Summit Racing
The mechanic used U-bolts in place of the band clamps but the hangers seem to be very solid now.
Then I bolted them to the stock bracket (that bolts to the transmission tail shaft casting - middle bracket in the second pic).
We talked about welding something more permanent after we know there are no fitment issues or rattles, but he felt the brackets would be fine.
I threw in another oil filter shot too, because of the dm. 👍

Bottom of car looks exceptional
Thank you, but I can only give Chevy credit for the condition. I obviously repainted the front frame black while I had the engine out, but the rest of the car is stock with 52,000 miles on it. I daily drove the car through 2 Chicago winters before it became more of a toy. As a toy, it was national events, light drag racing, and lots of car shows (but no more snow and salt). Then, while it was down for all those years it was garage kept.

Moving slow here, but it’s not for lack of desire.
It’s not done, but it’s alive!
Unfortunately, I planned I would be at the GM Nationals this weekend, but I am a lying, no car driving, sap.
For one thing, the cold air intake is restricting boost, so that is going to require a homemade fabricated improvement/re-design. The mechanic is going to take apart the intake piece by piece and monitor boost for changes. I fear the real problem is the lack of real estate between the supercharger inlet and radiator does not allow for a proper elbow, and my shiny “cobra head” elbow is too restrictive or just plain disruptive to the air flow. Piece by piece mechanic thinks he can find the root cause and fix what the dyno doesn’t like. My car will never be a truly “fast” car. I know I’ll never be in that league, but I certainly want any hp I can have.
Also need the following:
Alignment, fix rear drivers side window, tighten all bolts, check fluids.
I hope we are as close as it feels.

I drove it today. Still not done, but it was pretty cool to make some noise with it.
At the end of this video, you can hear my wife asking what is burning? I have to explain it is rubber (y)
