I'm back again, car still running rich. I've set fuel pressure to 43 psi, changed egr valve, replaced catalytic converter and 02 sensors right bank. Car still is running rich and backfires when it gets warm. The MAP is the only thing I haven't replaced. While driving when the vehicle goes into overdrive it sputters, give it some gas then it goes away until in overdrive again. Can someone please help me out?

totalblackbumper, has anyone changed your PCM program? check that your MAF is clean, although when dirty they run lean. check that the temp sensor on the front of the water pump is working correctly

I've sent Bryan Herter all of my information for tuning my pcm. I have replaced the MAF and the temp sensor is functioning properly. Don't know what else to do at this point.

Not sure what you have checked.
My past experience of similar issues.
Bad Coil Wire.
Bad Ignition Cable to Opti
Exhaust Manifold Leak - one time it was broken bolts
Dirty IAC,
TPS is worn - replace it..
Bad EGR ..just plug the Vaccum line to check
ALSO you can disconnect the electrical connector to the EGR.

Hope these help

how did you check the temp sensor? it is seperate from the sensor for the guage in the dash,. it is located at the front of the motor,. sensor for the guage is in the cyl head,.
It's been my experience that over rich still fires on all eight even in overdrive etc,. but uses waay too much fuel,.along with poor performance etc,.

How did you arrive at the original diagnosis of "too rich" ??
