A note to all ISSCA members and future members--if you are interested in attending the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association / International Tire Expo Automotive Trade Show, the largest annual event of its type in
existence, take a look at the ISSCA website http://www.goissca.org

This year's show, as it is every year, is in Las Vegas Nevada, and runs from Tuesday Oct 30 to Friday Nov 2. General Motors is the Manufacturer of the Show this year, and there should be some very interesting things to see and learn about if you can make it.

Check it out!

just signed up, anyone got any suggestions on where we might stay? The boss is coming, but I think she'll end up in a day spa somewhere. Rather hang with other Impala freaks than by myself......

The Hampton Inn in Henderson is at the regular rate and a nice area to stay in. Easy driving back and forth.

Prossound and I are staying at IP. We'll be there Monday night through Wednesday night.

Let's get a meeting place setup so we can meet some new faces from the Impala community! Why don't one of you ISSCA BOD-types get something setup?

;)

Count Steve Johns and Rick Williams in for the big show! We'll fly in Wednesday morning and out Thursday night. If a meeting is called during those two (middle) days of the show, we sure want to be included. Has anyone been able to firm up any plans?

Hi--

Just got back from ImpalaFest and found this (note below). If you remain interested in attending SEMA, you've now got an extra 2 weeks to register for just $10.

I wish I could tell you when/where the Impala/B-body owner get-together will occur. I do believe it will be either Wednesday or Thursday evening--hey, why not both!! I realize some want some quality time at the casinos and elsewhere.....maybe a couple of you local guys can suggest a good place to meet, whether a drive-in or some place that allows us to "get down" without getting arrested....

I know some of us will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Henderson, just to get away from the downtown crowds--and someone had mentioned the Macaroni Grill down there as a potential meeting place. But if you know of something that is doable, and "way cool", let everyone know!!!

I received the note below in the last 48 hours--FYI. It is from the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) trade show promotion group.

Dear Friend,
This important letter is to tell you that the 2001 SEMA
Show*ITE and AAPEX will be held as scheduled from
Tuesday, Oct. 30, to Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
There are rumors and incorrect information circulating about
the shows’ cancellation. These, including the message that
ran on the bottom of the screen on CNN-TV on Thursday,
September 20, are NOT TRUE.
We intend to conduct business in Las Vegas as planned, and
we will deliver an outstanding show for both exhibitors and
attendees. Your attendance at our aftermarket shows in Las
Vegas will do much to regain momentum of our industry’s
business. To that end, we have extended our early
registration discount through Friday, October 5. If you have
further questions or concerns, please contact:
SEMA Show*ITE
ConvExx
858-244-1313
AAPEX
W.T. Glasgow & Company
708-226-1300
We are determined to honor the memories of the
September 11 victims. With that in mind, it is vital that our
industry move forward. Thank you for your support of our
industry, and your faith in America’s future.
Sincerely,
Chuck Schwartz, CEM
Bill Glasgow, Sr.

it looks like we are having a meeting on thursday evening, I was planing on meeting at sunset park on that day to get to know eachother, I was thinking on having a little something to eat, (hot dogs and burgers) but if you guys want to sit down and eat well, we can pay a visit to the macarroni grill, they have great food and cold beer, we can still meet at the park and cruise our way to the restaurant, let me know what you guys want to do so I can tell the rest of the local guys. ;)
