in the center of the box shaft there is a little dowel sticking out about 3/4" with a cross pin that holds it in -- looks like that dowel thing could interfer with the new u-jouint -- can i just remove that dowel?
well could not get the pin out of the dowel so I just put the shaft on as far as looked comfortable. NEW ISSUE. IS ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH THE BORGISON SHAFT AND JOINTS? WHEN YOU CONNECT THE JOINTS TO THE SHAFT ON THE TUBE SIDE YOU DRILL THROUGH ONE WALL OF THE TUBE AND THE JOINT SCREW GOES THROUGH THAT HOLE AND BUTTS UP ON THE INSIDE WALL ON THE OTHER SIDE THEN THERE IS A SECOND SET SCREW THAT JUST PUSHES AGAINST THE OUTSIDE WALL OF THE TUBE.
NOW - WHAT ABOUT THE PREEXISTING TUBE SHAFT THAT HAS A HOLE ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE TUBE? (( IF YOU FOLLOW )) MAYBE DRILL A HOLE THROUGH ONE WALL -- I DON'T KNOW
