Alright, i have stock gears in my tranny (hopefully some 3.73's soon) and i feel like once i hit second gear my throttle response dives off until i hit third. Would a shift kid help with this or should i just save my money and wait until i put in the 373's?

Thats really the nature of the 4l60e. You hear lots of arguements about the 4l60e's steep 1-2 rpm drop vs. a th400's closer 1-2 ratio, but from performance stand point, the 4l60e has a lower 1st than the th400). The gears help, but a stall converter (2800 up) will make the most difference in pulling through the dead drop in 2nd.
