well the impala is geting up their on the miles 100,000 and I nocied that the ride is starting to get a little to bumpy when I go over 80 mph. it might be a bumpy hwy 101 or me just being paranoid but never the less I want to replace the shocks and springs.

I only looked into springs eibach springs but from what I read they don't last to much weight.
on the shocks I have no clue.

I want a smooth ride with about an 1 to 1.5 inch drop.

any sugestions

Well... I used Hotchkis springs and Monroe Severe Service shocks. In my opinion, this is the best setup for the money. I absolutely love the mean stance of the Hotchkis springs, and the Monroe SS shocks are a dream come true for the price. I'm sure others will chime in with more educated suggestions...

A lot of people will recommend hotchkis to you because they are tried and proven for these cars. Eibachs tend to have varying ride heighs where some cars end up being lowered abot 1" and others are getting dropped 3. I've heard about the monroe shocks and all I've heard is good things but me personally would never put any shocks on my car other than bilsteins because of how much of an improvement they made on my car but they are more expensive than the monroe's. Worth the money IMO.
