Attempting to deliver power in a straight line

the red ratchet strap is temporarily retaining the angle of the tail shaft

So my POS 9C1 driver goes from 11MPG around town to a whopping 30+MPG highway.....
@ 365+ NA RWHP
part of the combo is K-Member belly pan and post rear axle belly pan

Looking for free power everywhere I can get it.
By managing all the parasitic losses and frictions

So here we go..



these little babies make the job easy!

When you have the fame tore down and 100% bare
it is super easy to filp it over
might as well break out the tap on the 0.120" wall frame


my pulse elevated when I saw this

previous post we put some M6 x1 threads tapped into the bottom of the frame.

this is what that was all for


ultra light aluminum M6 bolts with button heads make for a nice install



huge percentage of area with smooth air flow

so clean

In search of better fabrication speed
I liberated the shop Plasma Cutter from the fab area.

first it needed new tips

then

then it need an extension cord to make it from the plug to the Datsun



whole day side mission getting the plasma working

Need a hole to install this bolt in
also need an access hole in the Square tube!
since the 4x4" is .120+" thick it is a tough job by hand



Plasma is great.
It is like cutting metal with a Sharpie!
Just draw the line you wish slow and steady.
Using a pipe or tape roll as a template helps


Bamm! We have a Cab installed

Continued "astoundment-ness" at the build. Not much for any of us to retort on 'cept maybe is that tab stout enough to hold a cab on in a calamity....

-Hays Dragon Claw Clutch installed on motor
-trans installed on motor
-machup engine out of car
-LS7 / TR6060 combo installed in car
-clutch hydraulics functional
-throttle pedal functional
-WX3 wheels polished and powder coated
-brakes installed front
-brakes installed rear
-3rd gen IROC Camaro parking brake salvage yard acquired
-parking brake functional
-fire wall frame work built
-Savannah van hydro-boost and 9c1 brake rod and pedal fabed to work together
-pedal assm. sand blasted painted and re installed
-wiper motor sandblasted painted installed
-clutch and bleeder hose installed
-temp clutch rez installed and bleed
-new driver door handle installed and functional

Last week
-started cooling system hose run
-tied rear seat frame brace to 4Link package tray for Drive shaft carrier
-made temp drive shaft carrier bearing mount on new braces
*will use this structure for safety loop as well

This week,
-installed radiator
-ATI LS7 Under Driven / No AC / Dampener install with Pin
-find correct belt size
-install belt
-brake master and prop valve lines
**adapting 9C1 Prop valve and ABS to Savannah van HB Master Cylinder
*what a B!+c# / PIA

I must work quickly, there is so much to do, a vessel for Maxis, the staffs, the opening of the gateway.

Datsun 620 project has to drive before Datsun 6/20 day!!!!!

Saturday time to thrash

spent the morning with El_Jefe_Vlogs
we ended up with an aborted dyno session due to burnt ign wires

*new video will be up in a day of this mornings session

Its now noon time to rock on the Datsun!

Drove my newly fabricated partially complete Datsun into the 6/20 car meet.
