Since we created this website back in 2000, it has grown by leaps and bounds – and so has the amount of maintenance that is required to keep things running smoothly. As many of you are well aware, over the past year or so, I have not been able to devote as much time and attention as I used to towards system maintenance. In order to help return the site to a more efficient level, I have chosen to sell the Forum to a company called AutoGuide, which operates hundreds of automotive forums – they will take over the hosting and maintenance of the website. Because of all of the problems we were experiencing with my previous hosting company, the website has already been copied over to AutoGuide’s servers – this should help keep the website running smoothly.
Although AutoGuide is taking over the operational aspects of the website and you may see some changes appear as a result, the forum itself should not be greatly affected. I will still be involved with the website as much as time permits, and the existing moderator staff will still maintain their rights and roles in the forum. At some point in the near future, additional staff will be brought on board to provide extra assistance to the community. The vast majority of the forum’s existing rules and regulations will stay in place – the last thing we want to do is negatively impact your experience on this website. So please buckle up and have fun while we attempt to make this website even better!

Comparing bands of the same genre and time period, Judas Priest destroys all that has been listed and Discharge was a much better punk band than the Misfits even though I like both.

Yeah, I'm just on the Hateraid today Eric...I honestly love Kill Em All, not a bad track on that album. Just disappointed in how they turned out long-term, in hind-sight Dave Mustaine was right all along. *heh*

the topics of conversation that are completly off topic are the reason the MISC section is the best section on this forum. just look at all the threads about the sale of the forum
I am on a couple of other forums (Z28, HybridZ) and they are both managed by outside sources. You can get basic access for free and full access for low $.
Yes, there are more ads, but the overall content and functionality is the same.
Personally, if I have to end up paying $25-$50 a year for the information that this forum provides, I am 100% OK with it. Time is money and I will save that $25 on the first post that I have asking for help!
However, I do understand concerns (like Shane's comments above about his business) and am hoping that these changes will not have a negative effect.
Also agreed - Hack needs a break from this. This has to be a very impactful thing to try to manage. It has to be like another full time job! I would not want to do it and it makes perfect sense to have an outside source doing it.
Time will tell - let's give it a chance! Change sucks sometimes, but it needs to be expected.

I just wish we had this attitude as a forum before it was sold, me for one, maybe this would have never happened. I honest feel like I failed hack By not supporting him. He made the best decision for him first and foremost which is the most important thing.
A lot of us have set back for years and posted on this forum from the fruits of his labors. We have no one to blame, especially Hack
